Working Principle

Vacuum belt dryer is designed for the particularly gentle thermal treatment of liquid and paste material. The liquid or paste material is continuously and evenly pumped onto the conveyor belts.

The belts carry the material through drying area which is divided into several sections. If the material is dried under vacuum, the boiling point of the evaporating water is lowered; thereby valuable and sensitive components, e.g. vitamins and minerals are retained and remain functional in the dried product.
Material is heated or cooled indirectly, and all heating media, such as steam, hot water or hot oil can be used.
The drying temperature is adjustable according to the materials' characteristics from the beginning evaporation, middle dry to the end cooling.At the end of the belt, the dried material is made into desired size by a guillotine type breaker bar and a crushing device under vacuum state.
End product is collected in an intermediate hopper from where it is continuously discharged out of the vacuum into automatic packaging or other subsequent process with alternating pressures.
